International Hockey player Hannah French to join NSW Pride for the 2024 Season

NSW Pride is excited to announce Hannah French from Great Britain will be joining the NSW Pride women’s team for the upcoming 2024 season.
Hannah who is fresh from the Paris Olympics joins the team with a wealth of experience with 150 caps and 43 goals for Great Britain.
The 29 year old forward from Surrey, England is thrilled to have been selected to play for the NSW Pride’s Women’s team this Hockey One League season.
“I am really looking forward to playing in the Hockey One League, it will be great to experience playing Hockey in Australia alongside and against top players. I am very excited to start training and to meet all of my teammates. I am looking forward to being part of the NSW Pride squad and to challenge for the title!” French said.
French made her international debut in 2017 and boosts an impressive international career having won an Olympic Bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games for Great Britain. Hannah has also won a Commonwealth Games Gold at her home 2022 Birmingham games for England, a Commonwealth Games Bronze medal and a European Bronze medal.
Head Coach for NSW Pride’s women’s team Scott Barker said ”Hannah is an exciting addition to the Pride squad. She is a world-class player with a wealth of international experience, scoring over 40 international goals. Her exceptional speed and quick hands with the ball make her very threatening in the attacking quarter. Additionally, Hannah brings impressive leadership qualities that will no doubt be an asset to our developing athletes”.
