Illawarra Hockey Centre's Big Upgrade

On Saturday the 18th of March 2023, Illawarra Hockey Centre celebrated major upgrades to their facilities. The redevelopment included the renewal of the two synthetic hockey fields, the installation of LED lighting to both fields and the stadium as well as solar lighting to the stadium and the viewing building.
Wollongong MP Paul Scully and Wollongong Lord Mayor Gordon Bradbery, attended the ceromony in Unanderra as well as Hockey NSW's very own Richard Giffiths, the GM Business Development and Government Relations at Hockey NSW.
Hockey NSW would like to congratulate Illawarra Hockey Centre on their new facilities. We would also like to thank the NSW Government Office of Sport for funding $895,000 towards the project.
