2022-23 Centre of Development Registrations Now Open

Centre of Development registration is NOW OPEN for the 2022-23 program!

COD is our highly successful program for Under 13 and Under 15 players (DOB 2008-2011) of all abilities, providing them with 21 hours of high-level coaching in their home region over the summer months.

The largest event on Hockey NSW's calendar, the program is attended by over 1000 junior participants across the State from October to Feburary each year. Junior athletes can gain access to the program all across NSW making up 11 team regions (4 in Metro Sydney, 7 in Regional NSW).

Training centres are available all across NSW, to allow all hockey fans an accessible chance to upskill with their mates. Some training centres have limited places and spots will fill up quickly, so we encourage participants to register as soon as possible. 

Each region is made up of multiple teams of various ages and genders, with over 100 teams in total across NSW. The program is also joined by over 180 officials including volunteer coaches and umpires, both of which receive development and accreditation opportunities though COD. 

Centre of Development culminates in the Regional Challenge; a three-day event where each team region competes allowing athletes to practice and demonstrate their newly learnt skills.
