2021 Hockey NSW Staffing Update
Published Mon 07 Dec 2020
Hockey NSW is pleased to announce a range of notable staffing changes in our organisation heading into 2021.
In a bittersweet development, our current Participation Manager Blair Chalmers will be leaving the organisation to take up the role of Manager – Coaching, Officiating and Growth with Hockey Australia. While his departure is a loss for our organisation, it is a testament to the fantastic work Blair has done in the participation space over the past four years. It also demonstrates the commitment of both organisations to the continued upskilling, development and progression of staff within the sport.
Consequently, Kate Pulbrook will step up into the role of Participation Manager from the beginning of 2021. A familiar face to many in the hockey community, Kate has been with our organisation for over seven years as both a Regional Coaching Coordinator, and more recently as our Participation Operations Coordinator. Kate has worked closely alongside Blair for a number of years and will bring significant experience and knowledge to the role.
As a result of Kate’s move, Glenn Johnstone will take over full-time in the role of Western Regional Participation Coordinator. Based in Parkes, Glenn has been undertaking this role part-time during 2020 and has also had extensive involvement with Hockey NSW in the coaching space around many of our programs such as COD, AAP and Sporting Schools in the past. We are thrilled to have Glenn permanently join our team and we encourage our community to give him a warm welcome.
These staffing appointments are testament to the leadership shown by Blair and Kate in the participation space across NSW and the valuable contribution they have both made. It is also a reflection on the great work Glenn has done in the Western region during a very disruptive year. Hockey NSW is looking forward to many exciting developments we have planned in the participation space during 2021, and we’re thrilled to have a great team delivering them.
