NSW is one of the most culturally diverse states in the world - we come from more than 307 ancestries, speak 215 languages and dialects, and follow 148 different religious beliefs.

For hockey to prosper in the future our Clubs, Associations and Competitions will need to consider how they create opportunities for all people to participate in all aspects of hockey. Hockey is recognised as a global game and one of the most popular sports on the planet with over 2 billion players, fans and followers. The challenge is not to introduce hockey as the chances are people already know about our sport, the challenge is to have our membership reflect a truly global sport.

This session is suitable for all grassroots volunteers who are wanting to make their Club, Association or Competition more diverse and accessible to players of all backgrounds and nationalities.

Education Week is a week dedicated to upskilling our grassroots volunteers on various topics related to hockey, which we hope will reduce the burden on our local community heros and create a more positive overall experience for our members across the State.

An email will be sent to all registered participants before the session with details and a link to access the Zoom.
