Metro Pathway Program
Hockey NSW is thrilled to announce the launch of the 2025 Metro Pathway Program! This program is designed to support the on- and off-field development of U16 and U18 metro athletes identified by Hockey NSW. It will align with similar programs offered by the Regional Academies of Sport, providing a consistent and high-quality pathway for our players.
On-Field Program Details
Program Duration: 20th January – 6th April 2025
Key Features:

Weekly 2-hour on-pitch training sessions

Training programs for U16/U18 girls and boys

Convenient training locations in North and South Metro areas
Metro team invitations to:

Regional Academy Games (U16)

Regional Academy Challenge (U18)
Training will be divided into two programs: Metro North and Metro South. Athletes may apply for an exemption to participate in an alternate program outside their designated association. Program details will be confirmed with final player numbers, coach appointments and turf availability.

Off-Field Development
Hockey NSW is collaborating with an external provider to deliver off-field development programs, including:

Weekly Strength and Conditioning (S&C) sessions, programming & testing

More details on these services will be shared once final arrangements are confirmed. Registration to the on-filed and off-field components will be paid and coordinated separately.
